Congellous continues to explore the world of electronica, kicking off 2018 with his sublime new release ‘The Songlines’. The title track comes steeped in 80’s analogue joy, teased with electronic voices that glide over a superb discofied backdrop made up of arpeggiated melodies and blissful synth wizardry. ‘Delicious’ is quite simply a trip! Warm, Balearic synth washes, creatively cut up vocals, underpinned by a pulsating bass and driven by hypnotic melodies that make up this stunning electronic voyage.

Congellous, aka Stanley T Jones, grew up in Anglesey, North Wales where as a teenager he was a member of a professional B-Boy crew. He cut his teeth on dance music frequenting clubs such as Quadrant Park in Liverpool, The Hacienda, Shelly’s and The Eclipse (89/90), listening to the likes of Sasha, Andy Carroll and Graeme Park. Later Stanley launched and DJ’d at his Evolution nights in N.Wales putting on the likes of Grooverider.

Moving into production in 1998, Stan became a part of the Nu School Breaks scene under several guises releasing as Orange Kush on Botchit & Scarper, as Jaguaron TCR and 60 Hz on Second Skin with many releases under his belt. Stan has also remixed for acclaimed artists such as King Kooba and Ninja Tunes’ DJ Food  and went on to work with live bands notably (Ex. Kooks) Max Rafferty band. He has received support from the likes of DJ Mag, Mixmag, Andy Weatherall, Boy George, Mary Anne Hobbs, Tayo and Rob da Bank. Stan’s DJ career has seen him spin all over the UK and Europe from London’s 333, Happiness Stan’s, Mass (Brixton) and Custard Factory (Birmingham) and The World Skateboard Championships, Channel 5’s Rad TV show to Apollo (Barcelona), Blue Cheese (Rome), British Snowboarding Champs and Saas Fee (Switzerland).

Back in full time production in 2015, Stan revealed his new guise Congellous, exploring the deeper side of House and the lighter side of Techno with his ‘Dance All Night’ release on Favouritizm. He then launched his own label Soba Records in 2016 with his acclaimed 2 tracker ‘Sputnik 2 EP’ and recently with a beautiful cover of Daniel Norgren’s ‘Are We Running Out Of Love’ featuring Jess Bishop.
