If ever there was one individual who is at the ‘peak of his game’ and who at the moment is making all the ‘right buzz’, then ‘Da Capo’ would be that individual. From humble beginnings through the streets of ‘Seshego’ which is a small township near ‘Polokwane, South Africa, ‘Da Capo’ has truly come a long way. With a recent ‘chart topping’ album release titled ‘Indigo Child’ under ‘Blackcoffee’s Soulistic Music, ‘Da Capo’ is surely among ‘the elite league of house musicians’. This week on ‘The SpotLight’ we have ‘Da Capo’ and we talk just about everything, from music to anything in-between. ‘Ladies and Gentlemen’, do enjoy…

Sho Mag: Let us take this time and thank you for hitting us up with a ‘one on one’. Can we start by asking who ‘Da Capo’ is and where is he from? Just for the benefit of those who might not know who he is.

Da Capo: Da Capo is a versatile house music producer/deejay who is also known as ‘Aquatone’ but my real name is ‘Nicodemus’. I’m 27 years of age born and raised in ‘Seshego, Zone 3, Limpopo’ and I am signed under Soulistic Music.

Sho Mag: How did it all start for ‘Da Capo’, please take us back on how you got to be part of the music industry. Was it something you always wanted?

Da Capo: To make music was always the goal. I started out as a rapper but later grew to realise my ability to make beats. In high school I had friends who were avid house music fans, they played a huge role in introducing me to what is now my career. All thanks to social media I got in touch with ‘Nick Holder’ on Facebook who is someone I looked up to and ‘three days later I was signed to his label DNH’ and released my music.
