DJ Kabila brings us into year 2020 with a hit! A deep state of melody almost recited back by angels. Tarubawo is more than a song, but a dedication to God. As DJ Kabila believes that there is a lot to be grateful for. Sung by MXO, the only way MXO ‘The Real MXO’ Lokwe is famed to rock us to a trance of angels hymning “Heys”.
These are accompanied by a moving prayer delivered with bravado in the powerful form of a poem, by Sizwe “Slyso” Saliso a community champion, who not only discovered Scoop Makhathini, but has since been sharing the spotlight he has to all youth (to whom the poem is dedicated to). For a while he has dominated the airwaves of Umhlobo Wenene Fm one of South Africa’s National Radio Stations, through his show IQL – Iqonga Labatsha a show he produces and co-hosts.

With more than fifty years between them in the music industry, a spiritual fusion of veterans, a concoction served to praise and be in awe of the sovereign lifted amidst bass and drums. The term “paid the cost to be the boss” resonates exceptionally well when we mention these names, DJ Kabila (Siyanda Makanya), MXO (Mxolisi Lokwe) and DJ Slyso (Sizwe Saliso).
