The long awaited collaboration between two of South Africa’s most talented house music producers, Kojo Akusa and Da Capo has become a reality. Afrofuturism released from Kojo Akusa’s music label Wholegrain Music, is the latest release from these two house music hit makers.
Kojo Akusa is a versatile house music producer, remixer, dj who is currently based in South Africa but born in Russia and delivered to the world. His recent releases included Thinking About You, IFreq, Gravitation EP, Floating EP and many more releases within his vast music catalogue. He has also released collaborative projects with music labels such as Peng Africa, Vibe Boutique Records, DT World Wide and many more. His sound can be described as Deep Space House story.
Da Capo is a creative house music producer/deejay who is also known as Aquatone . He hails from Seshego, Limpopo, South Africa and hand-picked by the legendary Blackcoffee to be part of his music label Soulistic Music. Da Capo has recently walked away with The Best Afro House Deejay Award at this year’s Dj Awards which were held in Ibiza. He has music released with esteemed labels such as Madorasindahouse Records, Nulu, Aluku Records, Vega Records, Get Physical, Soul Candi Records, DM.Recordings and many more.
With the released of Afrofuturism, both producers combine their individual music production technique. Da Capo with his signature Afro Tech Sound and Kojo Akusa with his Deep Space House Sound. This results in a sound which should sit well with us the listeners, but mostly with Afro House Music And Deep House Music loyal fans. On this single both producers have successfully managed to strike a fine balance in blending their individual sound.
