Acclaimed soul singer Rachael Calladine (formerly of Us3), reveals a glossy cover of Jade’s 1992 R&B classic, Don’t Walk Away for Major Underground. Paul Adam accompanies Rachael’s warm soulful tones with a touch of house glamour, offering a feast of bright piano and string melodies and a mighty key solo. Recently returning to the UK, after a 10 year musical adventure in Dubai, Rachael Calladine is re-establishing herself as a well-known face on the UK jazz and soul scene. Rachael was a regular performer, with her own band at all of the top London venues and was celebrated as one of the UK’s top jazz and soul vocalists. She is also known with Hip Hop/Jazz fans as the ex-lead vocalist with London’s Us3 band, with whom she toured Europe extensively and performing regularly alongside artists such as Jamiroquai, The Brand New Heavies, Incognito, Amy Winehouse and Joss Stone.
As a songwriter, Rachael has released 3 solo albums to date and her music has featured on high profile compilations such as Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide series, Hed Kandi and Cafe Del Mar, among others. Rachael currently works with numerous labels around the globe, including Tony Records and Liquid Deep, and has celebrated three number one releases in the last twelve months on the Traxsource Soulful House Chart.
