In an age where the sheer quantity of music in the marketplace renders the struggle to be heard above the noise impossible, launching a label which can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the most established players in the game is a formidable task.

Enter ‘Brian Power’. In two short years the DJ, producer and label head-honcho has done exactly that and if, as DJ Mag recently observed, dance music is suffering from a ‘creative crisis’, then the essence of ‘SoulHouse Music’ may just be the antithesis to that crisis.

Fashioning its identity from an invigorating cohesion of Soul and House music, Brian has carved out the label’s niche in the studio, with partners ‘Toni Economides’ and ‘Mike Patto’. Using live instrumentation on each and every one of his tracks and drawing on the vocal talents of some of the biggest voices in the game, including ‘Marc Avon Evans, Lifford, Michelle John, Ali Tennant, Kathy Kosins’ and revered UK soul artist ‘Hil St. Soul’, resulting in the organic formation of the ‘SoulHouse family’.

Nineteen of the label’s twenty releases to date have been Brian’s own artist productions. Unsurprising then that the solitary third party release on the label so far (by Ibiza based duo, Bollo & Chapter) also features the power-packed vocals of one of the greatest singers of our time in the legendary Jocelyn Brown.

Collaborating with the likes of ‘Kenny Dope, Mike Delgado’ and ‘DJ Spen’ in 2018, the vast swathe of raw talent coming through the SoulHouse studio doors is ever-expanding. Live events everywhere from Ibiza Rocks to Margate Beach and Ministry of Sound have seen the SoulHouse Family take the show on the road and steadily begin to establish a fanbase. With Bollo & Chapter’s afro remix of ‘Time After Time’ blowing up in Ibiza in tandem with BBC Radio 2 support on “A New Day” (emphatically described as “Stevie Wonder producing a Whitney Houston tune gone afro” by legendary US DJ Tony Humphries), the label is tearing up the rule book and crossing all boundaries.

Brian’s debut artist album “SoulHouse Volume 1” was released this year to strong acclaim from his DJ peers in the soulful house scene, with the follow up expected in 2019. In his own words “This is just the beginning…”
