Hailing the first release of his brand new imprint, Four Four Soul Recordings, well known London producer, Tom Davidson (of Reel People fame), launches his brand new guise Casa Devi with a sublime debut Peaceful Thoughts. Drizzled the dreamy ethereal voice of Syrian born Layal Watfeh, Peaceful Thoughts Original mix is a mellow jazzy affair, laced with brass stabs, flute, sweeping strings, guitars and creative keys, all set to a broken beat flavoured groove. Also on the package, Tom houses things up with a cool Club Mix driven by catchy electronic bass hook and a superb trumpet solo; Pat Bedeau takes things deeper and dubby with his signature Bedfunk sound. Luke McCarty and Craig Whitfield’s HHA (restless soul family) turn on their Harlesden charm with a hypnotic Acid Dub; and Modaji renders a blissed-out soulful groove teased with soothing synth washes.
The man behind London based Casa Devi is producer, mixer and engineer, Tom Davidson. Tom’s love of Soulful, Funk and Jazz tinged dance music inspired him to set about writing new material in the studio and Casa Devi’ was born. Tom Davidson is a producer/mixer/sound engineer with over 25 years in the business and has run his legendary People Studios in London for 20 years. He is a founding member of the acclaimed band Reel People and has engineered, produced and mixed a plethora of recording sessions for clients including prestigious names: East West Connection, Nathan Haines, Phil Asher, Bob Jones and Lofty, Carl Orr, Jeff Beck, Norris Windross, Danny Rampling, Planet E, World Circuit Records, Papa Records, Universal and Sony Records, to name a few.
