A Song Inspired by Real Life

The song was born out of pain. After witnessing a woman being harassed in public, Tina was moved to create an anthem that shines a light on the strength of women while demanding action against gender-based violence and femicide.

The music video brings this message to life in a striking way. Directed by Nick Wambugu of Folklore Films, it weaves footage from the End Femicide KE protests with Tina’s stirring performance. Photographer Victoria Komu, known as Photo Femme, captured Tina in stunning natural landscapes, portraying her as a force of resilience in the face of injustice. Reflecting on the project, Tina shared, “It was nothing short of God’s doing… He made sure He aligned everything back to the original plan.”

Stylist Sally Minoo of iStyle added depth to the visuals with bold outfits and traditional Kamba-inspired accessories. The colors, textures, and designs speak to the beauty, power, and courage of women everywhere.

“Mūndūmūka” is more than a song—it’s a movement. It reminds us of the power of art to spark conversations and inspire change. Listen now and join Tina in amplifying the voices of women across the world.
