All Electronic Music launches with a stellar track from the highly talented Josi Chavé alongside Cuebur and Thandi Draai, backed with remixes from TorQue Muziq, Silvva, KAARGO and a His & Hers ‘Soul Mix’. DJ, producer and radio presenter Josi Chavé has established himself as a critical figure within South Africa’s electronic music scene, with records released through Ocha Mzansi, United Music Records and African Noise. His stunning new single Baleka features SAMA nominated artist Cuebur and multi-faceted talent Thandi Draai, who will be compiling the next edition of Get Physical’s ‘Africa Get’s Physical’ album series. This new single also includes remixes from TorQue Muziq, Silvva, His & Her Soul and KAARGO, with all profits going to the Give A Child A Family Charity. All Electronic Music is the latest signing to Get Digital, the new distribution and label services project from Get Physical Music.

Baleka is a sensational afrobeat tune with an exquisite lead that weaves its way through loose percussion and Thandi Draai’s alluring vocals, while joined by a wall of uplifting strings. This incredibly vibrant track was inspired by the unfortunate circumstances in South Africa, with the sudden rise in violence against women and the obvious negative impact this has on society. Josi describes the story behind the song’s evolution… ‘It’s a song with a message that speaks to social issues and an opportunity for us as local artists to showcase our talents to the masses.”

TorQue Muziq’s interpretation is a deeply atmospheric and melodic remix, whilst Silvva’s rework continues the outer-space vibe with its deep and dark chords, pulsating builds and soaring stabs. The His & Hers Soul mix, see Cuebur and Thandi Draai adopt this moniker for a superb alternative version. The mix comes across as an isolated lullaby, with uplifting strings accompanying upbeat claps and sweeping melodies on this downtempo cut. Closing the package is the KAARGO remix, combining sharp hi-hats with euphoric pads and a pounding bassline to shape up this impressive offering in style.
