The annual Dance Music Awards South Africa #DMASA were created to acknowledge and honour the contribution made by South African Dance Music Artists towards the growth of South African Dance Music. The #DMASA also recognises achievements made by our artists through awarding them for their hard work and for pushing South African House Music forward.
Following the huge success of the event for the past two years and with previous award winners such as Blackcoffee, Black Motion, Da Capo, Lady Sakhe, Lady Zamar, Dj Ganyani and many more. The #DMASA plan to go even bigger this year with an exciting additional category which means that, this year’s event will have a total of 21 categories where we can vote for our favourite artists.
This year’s nomination stage is open for the public, where the public can nominate their favourite artists within the set 21 award categories. The nomination stage of the awards will be closed on the 21st of this month. This will then be followed by the announcement of the Top 5 Award Nominees for each category and the voting stage will then be open to the public. Award winners are to be announced on the 3rd of October later this year.

- Best Underground Record of the Year (All non-commercial dance & underground sounds by SA Dance Music Artist)
