Having released on top labels such as Bunny Tiger, Glasgow Underground, Midnight Riot, Exploited, Mother Recordings and No Brainer Records, among others, German producer Freiboitar has been gathering some serious momentum on the global house scene. All Life Long is his catchy new collaboration with South African song bird Jackie Queens, whose optimistic message soulfully glides over a feel-good groove centered around an infectious piano hook taken from Carol King’s classic It’s Too Late.
Nils Laga, aka Freiboitar, is a classically trained pianist, deejay and producer hailing from Cologne. He first fell in love with electronic music while he was playing in an indie band and quickly scuttled his rock career and has been sailing under the Freiboitar flag since he released his first remix in 2012. Influenced by disco, funk and big house music beats, his groovy sounds, which journey between a colourful spectrum of Soulful, Nu Disco to Deep and Tech house, quickly found their way on to playlists of the dance music elite. Already boasting a huge portfolio of productions and remixes released on some of dance music’s finest labels from CR2, King Street, Nervous, Katermukke, Incroyable and many more, Freiboitar scored the no.1 position in the Beatport House Charts with Nobody Dance in 2017 on No Brainer Records.
Jackie Queens is the Zimbabwean born, South African based songwriter and vocalist disrupting the status quo of the music industry’s perspective on the role women play in its success. Her powerful presence in both artistry and business has her firmly placed as the doyen of African female voices in electronica. Garnering support from the likes of Black Coffee, while collaborating with talent such as Enoo Napa and Da Capo and running her own label Bae Electronica, Jackie is certainly cutting a formidable profile for herself. Best described for delivering music with a message, Jackie pulls focus on penning inspiring lyrics to accompany the afro-house, tech and house rhythms presented through her work.
