Fynite Unleashes Debut EP Titled Rooted In Afro

Fynite has just released his debut EP titled Rooted In Afro. Starting off the four track EP are Fynite’s debut singles, On The Edge and You’re My Ghost, followed by two additional singles, Call On Me and Keep Falling.  All singles are carefully crafted, moody afro house productions with indie influenced male and female vocals.

“I’ve always loved Afro House productions, having previously worked with producers like Black Motion, Black Coffee and Cuebur. I’m also a big lover of indie music, so I thought it would be amazing combining the two seemingly different genres; Indie inspired vocals and song writing, atop (and rooted in) afro house productions.”  – Fynite

In South Africa, radio playlisting has come in from multiple national, provincial, community and college radio stations for the three singles On The Edge, You’re My Ghost and Call On Me, including ample support on Official Spotify playlists like New Music Friday and House Nation, as well as music TV channels, including Trace Africa.

Three official music videos of the singles accompany the release. The music videos were directed and shot by Fynite, a budding videographer himself. “I’ve recently immersed myself in photography & videography and thought it would be fantastic to manifest my music in videos that I shoot that reflect my life’s journey at that point in time. So I put concepts and story boards together, collaborate with various actors and venture out into the streets of whatever country I’m in at the time with my Canon and GoPro.”Fynite

The producer behind the name Fynite, based in Tel Aviv and Johannesburg, is not entirely new to the scene, having previously been active as a house music producer, including having several chart toppers in South Africa and releases on Defected (UK), Strictly Rhythm (USA) & Soul Candi (SA), under different monikers.  Fynite’s debut single, On The Edge came out on Sirup Music; a leading Swiss dance label that has previously released singles by Avicii, EDX and Nora En Pure (with the Afro Mix of ‘On The Edge’ on Fynite Sounds).

Rooted in Afro EP is out now on all stores via soWHAT Records, the boutique label behind productions by Black Coffee, UPZ, Black Motion, DJ Ganyani, Qness, Cuebur and multiple top 10 singles on South African charts including Pure Surprise (UPZ), A Dream Away (SIo) and Endless Motion (Dahl Hates Disco).
