Jullian Gomes was born and brought up in South Africa listening to Soul, Latin and Kwaito, before discovering House Music at the tender age of eight. Since his first gig in 2003, his career has traveled only upward, and his love for production and skill-set grew steadily with it. He has produced music with South African independent label such Soulcandi and House Afrika, which was followed shortly by records on influential international labels such as Realtone Records, Foliage Records, Atjazz Record Company and Seasons Limited. He is the founder of My World Without End which is his own music label.
With only a short break since his debut long player Late Dreamer which was released under Artjazz Record Company, Jullian Gomes swoops straight back in with his sophomore album Slow Poison which is released through his newly formed imprint My World Without End. Taking a more introspective lookout, Jullian’s Slow Poison delivers a plethora of styles from his skill bank, ranging from story telling soundscapes through trademark deep house and soulful house into neo-electronic-disco.
Slow Poison is a wonderful journey of emotions and energy. The album is jam packed with eight banging tracks where Jullian Gomes features some wonderful talent from Zaki Ibrahim, Jinadu, Martin Iveson, Fka Mash, B. Bravo, Ree Morris, Tahir Jones & Samantha Thornhill who all bring their own vibe to the table. Slow Poison is a wonderful return, from one of South Africa’s revered artists.
