London Fields To Drop ‘Colour To My Life’

After making his debut with ‘Find Our Love EP’ earlier this year, London Fields (aka Joel Edwards of Deepest Blue fame) returns to the Friday Fox den with a superb new slice of indie fused underground House titled ‘Colour To My Life’. Centred around a smouldering deep house groove that’s underpinned by a brooding bass, ‘Colour To My Life’ is charged with an infectious and beautifully candid vocal from Joel. Remixes come from Sonny Wharton, who whacks up the energy delivering a techy ‘Darkdancer Dub’, powered by a dominant Hi-NRG tinged arpeggiated base hook; Rapson cooks up a platter of breezy feel-good melodies seasoned with warm synthology and old school samples; and FFR’s own Christian B vibes out on a haunting 90’s tip for the deeper floors. Also on the package, Joel notches things down tempo under his new Deeper The Fallguise, planting the song firmly in the Indie/Nu Disco arena with an 80’s fused soundtrack of lush power-synths, a cool guitar solo and magnetic toms!

I love being in the lab and try to work no agenda, everyday has to be fun and expressive.  ‘Colour To My Life’ came about as a happy accident.“ – London Fields
