Straight up from the streets of Standerton in South Africa, we bring you ‘Vusi Mofokeng’ commonly known as ‘Masterroxz’ within the music circles. For a young guy ‘Masterroxz’ has come a long way through his deejay career which dates way back in 2009. On music production, ‘Masterroxz’ has been perfecting his unique sound since 2013. Some of his banging releases include ‘Junked In My Soul’ released through ‘Deep Obsession Recordings’.
Already on his 6th offering released through ‘Rudiment Music (Pty) Ltd’ which is an EP titled ‘Embrace’. ‘Embrace’ is a 6 track EP with tracks such as ‘Far Away, Round We Go, Never Good Enough, I Won’t Give Up, Sunshine, Love’. Features from ‘Melo, LucyVibes, Ora, Sifiso and Dumi’ can be expected on this offering. I must say, ‘Embrace’ is a well-cooked EP as ‘Masterroxz’ manages to strike the perfect balance between Afro House and Deep House Music and ohhhhh!!!! Did I mention that there are vocals on each track, something which has been missing in recent years and we appreciate that from time to time.

Having already bumped ‘Embrace’, one couldn’t help but notice that ‘Masterroxz’ was inspired by ‘love’ for this one. Tracks such as ‘Far Away, Sunshine and Love’ prove that point beyond any doubt with perfectly laced vocals which provide that nostalgic effect for the listener. Another plus from us would be the use of minimal keys on each track which amplifies the track vocals and with time, these jams have the ability to be ‘sing alongs’.
As usual we do have our pick!!! Keep an eye out for ‘Sunshine’ where ‘Masterroxz’ features sultry vocals from ‘Ora’. This track has some nice sounding on point keys and strings which are the most amazing backdrop to ‘Ora’s’ clear vocal ability. ‘Masterroxz’ has provided something for us to jam to through this ‘month of love’ and beyond.
