Sho!Mag: Any advice on the best way to approach the Masters of Spin Competition seeing that you are 2016’s Master of Spin?

You must enter the competition with a view of learning something and taking something out of the competition. One handy advice I have for prospective entrants is to always listen to the house rules at all times.

Sho!Mag: Musically, who have you worked with so far in this musical journey?

I have had the fortune of working with the likes of Dj Fisherman, Dj Tira, Big Nuz on the hit song ‘Call Out’ which happened to do well in 2014. Also I have co-produced a song with Joocy from Afrotainment, the song is titles ‘This Day’. Recently I have worked with Demor from the group called ‘Shana’. There are a couple of features I have been part of, one which jumps out at this point is titled ‘Istimela’ with Sdudla noma1000.

Sho!Mag: Are there any current music projects you are involved with?

This year I am planning to put my full debut album out titled ‘The Strings Of Joy’. I have been working on that particular album for a period of three years now so the album is long overdue. I think this is the first time I am letting this out so it is a Sho!Mag exclusive.

Sho!Mag: When you not busy creating house beats, what do you guys get up too?

I like to relax with family and times enjoy watching Horror Movies and Animal Planet, just to take a short break in the Music Industry.

Sho!Mag: Currently what musical projects are you busy with and what can we expect form you in 2017?

I am putting my Debut Album Out this year. That is my main priority at this moment.

Sho!Mag: How would you describe the music in your current and previous projects?

I think I have grown musically with the positive influences I have around me. Also having worked with a couple of artists has improve the overall quality of my sound.

Sho!Mag: Any future or planned musical projects you are involved with, and what can we expect from you guys in the future?

More collaborations coming on my side and I am also planning to open my own Recording Company.

Sho!Mag: As an artist based in the Port Elizabeth. How is the music like that side? And if there are any challenges you face, what could be those challenges?

When you talk Port Elizabeth music you must expect killer sounds, but one of the challenge we are facing here Port Elizabeth as musicians is lack of unity. Many producers do not want to work together and I believe this issue will be sorted once I manage to start my own Recording Company.

Sho!Mag: Any career highlights that jump into mind, what have been your Career highlights so far?

I would have to say that winning the Masters Of Spin competition is one of my highlights. Also finally being able to put out my debut album would be my ultimate highlight.

Sho!Mag: Any message you might have for any Port Elizabeth or South African based musician you might have?

I would like to say to upcoming producers ‘chase that dream, focus on your work and work hard’.

Sho!Mag: Where and how can we get hold of your Music Projects?

My fans can reach me on my Facebook Page which is ‘DJSK’ and my twitter handle is @DJSK_RSA and on Instagram, one can reach me on Djsk_music.

Sho!Mag: What would be your best for any young artist who would like to see themselves being like you in years to come?

Believe in yourself and always stay humble.
