Acclaimed UK Jazz / Latin composer Sam Qs reveals the brand new single from his Nightpatrol collective, featuring the vocals of Swedish singer Maya on the Brazilian imprint Grooveland. The Magpie And The Squirrel is a cheerful Latin fused Jazzy number, where classy brass, uplifting keys, Sam’s breathtaking Sax performance and Maya’s vibrant vocals flow over a sun drenched hip swaying groove. The release also features a potent remix from Nuyorican don of Afro and Bossa house, Doug Gomez, who works his magic for the dance floor, delivering a platter of sun-kissed Latin piano melodies and infectious Bossa beats. Topping off the package is a delightful mix for the real Jazz heads where Sam and co. freestyle with some impressive brass performances.
