After their debut smash single ‘Feel You’ with Timotha Lanae last year, Skydoll charm us once again with their unique style of soulful music, revealing their highly anticipated follow up single ‘Lost In Right Now (Time)’. Joining forces once more with US Soulstress Timotha Lanae, who lends her deliciously candy-sweet vocals, ‘Lost In Right Now (Time)’ is a beautifully penned love song that colourfully joins the dots somewhere between late 80’s bubbling synth pop, contemporary Nu Disco and warm dance-floor Soul.
“Lost In Right Now’ is about embracing love where ever one finds it and the wish to freeze time so that the magical moment never ends. Musically we decided to experiment with some retro synth pop and electro sounds and fuse those with contemporary dance flavours, we’re not quite sure what genre the song fits in to, but feel we’ve definitely created something interesting with a great feeling.” – Skydoll
Skydoll first encountered Timotha Lanae at the famed, First Avenue in Minneapolis (Purple Rain), where she was performing with legendary Soul singer Alexander O’Neal. Having been captivated by Timotha’s performance, Skydoll spent the next year attempting to track her down to no avail. Whilst in the studio with world renowned bassist Billy Peterson, he invited Skydoll to a club to check out a singer he was working with. Low and behold it was Timotha Lanae, the very singer Skydoll had been searching for! ‘Feel You’ was the result of this fated meeting.
‘Lost In Right Now (Time)’ will be released on March 30th 2018 on Skydoll Records.
