Sho!Mag: I have gathered that not only did you start the House Music Podcast ‘Pleasures Of Intimacy’, but you also host House Music events. How did that come about? And which one of the event you hosted would you say is ‘the pick’ from all the events you hosted and why is it so?
Deep Marvin: Ha ha ha, you really did your homework I am impressed, yes I have hosted five events of which one was a total failure of which I gained a lot of experience from. It all started with the POI Sessions (Podcast launch) with Lars Behrenroth of Deeper Shades Of House and for me that was the best event ever so far to be hosted by my podcast. I just took some time out so as to correct the wrongs done previously and in due time I will be back with a lot of experience and better than before.
Sho!Mag: Besides your involvement in music, what are other projects are you currently involved with?
Deep Marvin: Currently, I am hands on within my ‘NGO’ so as to make a difference that is where my passion is at besides music.
Sho!Mag: Seems as if you are a man of many talents. As you say you are also an author. How did that come about? Is it something you have always wanted to do or is it just a secret talent we just were not aware of?
Deep Marvin: Yes I am working on my book, it something that I have had for years before I even branched into house music scene. I have passion for motivating students and have done so even on ‘Radio Platforms’. I strongly believe that God has also blessed me with the talent to motivate and why not spread it through a book as well.
Sho!Mag: Just in passing since we mentioned your book. What is the book’s title and if you could sum it up. What is it about and what can the readers expect in-between the covers of the book?
Deep Marvin: I am busy finalizing the launch of my motivational book, titled ‘Behind Every Battle Lies Victory’, so look out for that one. ‘Each and every one of us is born for a purpose and has potential & dreams, the environment we live in has made us to believe that we are incapable of being great, the book serves to restore all that’.
